Man Hurt In Shooting During Fight In Bolingbrook: Cops

A woman was taken into custody and a gun was recovered at the scene, police said.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A man was injured with a graze wound from a gunshot after a fight in Bolingbrook on Tuesday afternoon, Bolingbrook Police said.

Police said officers responded to the 100 block of Jamestown Lane at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday for a report of people fighting in the area. When they arrived, officers found a man who had been shot.

After securing the scene, police learned the man had suffered a graze wound to his lower body, police said. He was later taken to a local hospital by the Bolingbrook Fire Department for an injury that is alleged to be unrelated to this incident, according to police.

A second person was also taken to a local hospital for injuries related to the fight, police said.

Police say they believe the people involved in the fight know each other through a domestic relationship, and there is no continued threat to the community.
