2 Armed Robbers Took Cash, Jewelry From Bolingbrook Store: PD

The Bolingbrook PD is looking for two men who stole from Helzberg Diamonds on Friday and fled the scene before officers arrived.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Bolingbrook Police Department is looking for two men who robbed a store in the village on Friday.

According to Lt. Anthony Columbus, officers were dispatched to Helzberg Diamonds, 643 E. Boughton Road at 12:25 p.m. for an armed robbery. The two men entered the store armed with handguns and wearing masks.

"They demanded money from the cash register and also stole jewelry from a display case," Columbus said. "The men exited the store and fled from the scene in a black Dodge Avenger driven by a third subject, prior to officers' arrival."

No one was injured in the robbery, and the scene was processed by Bolingbrook Evidence Technicians, he said.

The incident is currently under investigation.
