Vehicle Fire Blocks Lanes Of Interstate 55: Traffic Officials
IDOT officials said a vehicle fire shut down all northbound lanes of Interstate 55. As of 10 a.m., only one lane was reopened.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — All lanes going northbound on Interstate 55 were blocked Wednesday morning due to a vehicle fire, Illinois Department of Transportation said.
Lanes were completely blocked at Veterans Parkway at around 9:45 a.m. and one left lane was opened at 10:15 a.m.
State police did not immediately respond to questions about injuries from the fire.
