UPDATE: GPS Led Police to Boy Now Facing Sex Assault, Kidnapping Charges
Police said the teenager broke into a 43-year-old woman's home Sunday afternoon on West Moffat Street. He appeared in court Monday morning and has been charged as an adult.

A teenager is facing rape and kidnapping charges after reportedly breaking into a Bucktown home Sunday afternoon and assaulting a woman.
Marcos Cervantes, 16, was charged as an adult Monday with aggravated criminal sexual assault, home invasion, aggravated vehicular hijacking and aggravated kidnapping. He appeared in court earlier that day.
Police say the boy, who is not from the Bucktown area, raped a 43-year-old resident at gunpoint in her home on West Mofatt Street before forcing her into her car and driving off. The incident occurred around 12:45 p.m., police said, and the victim was home alone at the time.

Cervantes reportedly let the woman, who was begging to be released, out of her car around 1:20 p.m. near Western Avenue and Hirsch Street. She ran to another vehicle and used the driver's cell phone to dial 911, according to police.

She described her car and officers then tracked the offender using a GPS application on her phone, which remained with the suspect, according to the report.
Cervantes had several others in the vehicle with him at the time of his arrest, which was around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Western Avenue, police said. They reportedly found a paintball gun inside.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
