Bucktown Area Residents Raise More Than $4K for Local Graffiti Watchdog

Residents have started a fundraising page for a Bucktown do-gooder who covers up graffiti on community buildings.

Residents have raised more than $4,000 for a Bucktown neighborhood watchdog who, in part, devotes his energy to removing unwanted graffiti from local buildings.

Fundraising for Steve Jensen is in the form of a GoFundMe page, according to a DNAinfo report. Donors had contributed $4,190 as of Monday evening. The page's goal was initially pegged at less than half of that value.

"This is a way to say thanks to Steve for his endless efforts in making Bucktown a great place to live," the page's creator wrote in the fundraising platform.
