Bucktown Stores Invite Shoppers to Stroll Streets for Deals, Bites

Today in Bucktown, it's all about the shopping deals.

Summer is in full swing and while we're definitely getting our fill of weekend street festivals, we can never have enough reasons to let our hair down on a Wednesday. Right?

Tonight, get out of the house and enjoy the Bucktown Summer Soiree — a debut shopping event that showcases the area's unique range of shops, services and cuisine.

Brought to you by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce and Wicker Park Bucktown SSA No. 33, the neighborhood-wide event is located on Damen Avenue between Armitage and Webster avenues.

"Known for its street chic style and award-winning restaurants, North Bucktown invites both local neighborhood residents and supportive customers of independent businesses to explore the area's unparalleled hospitality," the event's website says. "Look for balloons on the outside of participating businesses."

Among the participating shops are Comfy Fitness, G Boutique, One Hour Tees, Radiance Fine Jewelry, Remarked Salon, Valentia, virtu and vive la femme. 

Appetizers, hors d'oeuvres, and desserts will be provided by Babylon, Jack & Gingers, Li'l Guys, Red Door, Red June, Starbucks, The Bristol and Tipsycake.

Shoppers are invited to hit the streets between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday.
