Bucktown, Wicker Park Taste Like 'Bohemian Tease'
The winner of this past week's Mixologist Mash-up in Bucktown and Wicker Park has been announced. The contents of the local concoction may surprise you.
If you ask Club Lucky bartenders, Bucktown and Wicker Park taste just like a combination of Rooibos tea, vodka, black cherry-stuffed hibiscus flowers and orange blossom-infused honey.
And event coordinators of the communities' recent Mixologist Mash-up have decided they're right. Featuring the cocktail, "Bohemian Tease", the club won the "Drink of Wicker Park Bucktown" contest for the second year in a row, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The local ingredients were combined with a house-made blood orange gelatin and elderflower, a cordial soda using elderberries, blood orange, rhubarb and Absolut vodka.
The concoction beat out nine other cocktails. The catch? They all had to use Absolut vodka.

Sponsored by the Wicker Park and Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, the March 28 event aimed at showcasing the area's nightlife and mixology talents, according to the event invitation. This year was the soiree's second.
The ideal cocktail "capture(d) the unique spirit and palette of Wicker Park and Bucktown residents," coordinators said.
