Blackhawks Bar to Open at Former People Lounge Location

A Wicker Park bar is going from small plates to big plays.

Tapas spot People Lounge closed in January, and will reopen as High Noon Saloon March 11, owner Baris Yuksel said.

The bar, at 1560 N. Milwaukee Ave., will feature Tex Mex cuisine and weekend brunch. It’ll also be an official spot for Blackhawks and Illini fans with 11 TVs for watching games, Yuksel said.

Drinks will rely heavily on craft beers—15 on draft and more than 40 brews to choose from. Yuksel said he’ll also have an extensive bourbon, whiskey and scotch collection to make 10 craft cocktails.
