A new butcher shop is coming to Wicker Park. But it's not just any meat market.
Chicago Chop Shop will be a butcher shop, restaurant and event space. It's on pace to open this coming July in a century-old warehouse that was once an auto body shop at 2033 W. North Ave., according to RedEye Chicago.
The business will include a salumeria and gourmet butcher shop, Chicagoist reports, along with homemade sausages, roast beef, prime and aged meat cuts and cheeses.
