DePaul Does the 'Harlem Shake'

Not a month goes by without the introduction of a new Internet fad that spreads like wildfire across all corners of the web before sputtering out into a slow, sad demise.

The latest viral sensation is called the "Harlem Shake" and it has prompted everyone from college swim teams to retirement homes to try their hand at a moment of Internet immortality. 

The 30-second videos are simple enough. They usually start with a lone dancer and when the beat of the song drops, things get crazy. 

We've rounded up several Harlem Shake videos featuring our friends at DePaul University. Students from the university's theater school, Alliance of Latino Empowerment, athletics department, and others, have participated.

Our friends at Huffington Post Chicago conducted a poll on the best local shake. The winner was the University of Illinois-Chicago's Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity who created this cinematic masterpiece.
