Lincoln Park bakery lovers can rest easy knowing there's a new local outlet to satifsy their sweet tooth.

After several licensing delays, Lincoln Park's new Glazed & Infused doughnut shop, 939 W. Armitage Ave., officially opened its doors Jan. 18. The increasingly popular now four-location chain boasts a dozen different doughnut varieties made fresh every morning. The Lincoln Park store joins an existing Wicker Park branch, as well as two others in the city—one in Streeterville and one in the West Loop.

It includes a sit-down area large enough to host children's birthday parties.

"It's been crazy," manager James Gray said Friday, as a contractor was putting the finishing touches on a Glazed & Infused emblem on the Lincoln Park storefront. "In a good way, of course, but ever since the grand opening it's really just been nonstop."

Gray manages all four stores. But he said it's certainly not stopping there. Preliminary plans are in the works for other branches in the city. In fact, he hopes to soon find the perfect Lake View spot for a Glazed, he said.

"We are expanding so rapidly that it's a matter of simply needing more space to do all the things that we do on a regular basis," Gray said last month. " … This Armitage location is centrally located in a high density neighborhood and we want to maximize our opportunity with commuters getting on and off the train."
