Film Crews, 'No Parking' Signs Flood Bucktown

Film crews are returning to the neighborhood on Wednesday and Thursday, when they'll bring with them more than a dozen "no parking" areas.

It seems all too familiar.

Once again, a film crew is coming to Bucktown this week. You'll want to make sure your car is parked in a designated zone on Wednesday and Thursday.

That's because the city of Chicago has issued street parking permits between 5 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesday in the following locations:

  • Both sides of Winchester, 200 feet south of Cortland.
  • Both sides of Winchester, 200 feet south of Cortland.
  • South side of Armitage from Damen to Honore.
  • Both sides of Wolcott 300 feet north of Cortland.
  • Both sides of Cortland 150 feet east of Winchester.
There will be a full street closure between 6 p.m Wednesday to 3 p.m. Thursday on both sides of Cortland from Winchester to Damen.

Between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Wednesday, don't park on the:

  • South side of Armitage from Oakley to Hoyne.
  • Both sides of Leavitt from Armitage to Cortland.
  • Both sides of Homer 200 ft. west of Leavitt.
  • Both sides of Homer 200 ft. east of Leavitt.
There will also be a full street closure on Leavitt and Homer from between noon and 10 p.m.

Between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, you'll want to move your car if it's parked on the east side of Hermitage from Cortland to Armitage.

Between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, avoid parking on the:

  • North side of Homer from Leavitt west to alley.
  • West side of Leavitt from Homer to 1930 N. Leavitt.
