Lottie's Owner Loves 'Novelty Factor' of Chicago Fire Filming

Reporters recently sat down with Mark Domitrovich, owner of Lottie's Pub in Bucktown, to discuss how he and his customers have reacted to the bar serving as a backdrop for NBC show, Chicago Fire.

Lottie's owners say they're enjoying their time in the spotlight—as long as it doesn't last forever, according to reports.

NBC 5 staff recently sat down with bar owner Mark Domitrovich to chat about how he's dealing with his business' brush with fame. Lottie's, 1925 W. Cortland St., is featured prominently on NBC's hit show, Chicago Fire.

In the series, firefighters squelch a fire there and later decide to buy the bar and make it their own.

"It's been fun for the visibility and the novelty factor and it's fun to see it on TV," he told NBC 5. "If it went on for years it would probably be an issue, but for now we're enjoying it."

Lottie's will be featured in up to nine episodes this season, the report says, and shooting has typically taken place on slow days—Monday through Wednesday.
