Monday Parking Restrictions: NBC's Chicago Fire Returns to Bucktown

TV crews will be in Bucktown, yet again, Monday to film scenes for upcoming episodes of Chicago Fire.

Parking restrictions are in effect, yet again, Monday to make way for the cast and crew of the NBC show, Chicago Fire.

The City of Chicago has issued parking permit restrictions effective between 1 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. Feb. 4, according to a notice sent by 32nd Ward Ald. Scott Waguespack. The list of prohibited parking areas includes full street closures expected during the day. The notice also warns residents that the filming will include pyrotechnics "approved and observes by the real Chicago Fire Department."

The following restrictions will be in effect Feb. 4:

  • Parking is not permitted between 1 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on both sides of Cortland Street from Damen to Wolcott avenues; on both sides of Winchester Avenue from the alley south of Cortland to the alley north of Cortland; and on both sides of Damen from the 1800 block north to Armitage.
  • Parking is not allowed between 7 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on both sides of Winchester from Wabansia to half a block north of Wabansia; on both sides of Wabansia between Winchester and Wolcott; on both sides of Hermitage from 1820 to 1860; on both sides of Cortland from Marshfield to Wood; on both sides of North Paulina from 1844 to 1975.
  • Full street closures will affect Cortland from Damen to Wolcott and Winchester from Armitage to Bloomingdale between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m; Wabansia from Winchester to Wolcott between 4 p.m. and 11:59 p.m.; and Hermitage from Cortland to Bloomingdale between 9 a.m. and 11:59 p.m.
