The first franchise opened in Tinley Park in 2001 after Chicago Franchising Systems, Inc. bought the rights to Al's Beef restaurants in 1999. The chain currently has seven locations within the city, with another five in the surrounding suburbs, one in Arizona, and one on Georgia.
The Milwaukee Avenue location marks the eighth Al's Beef within the city limits.
