Thin Crust Pizza House Debuts in Bucktown

A restaurant industry veteran is setting up shop in Bucktown with a signature pizza.

A different kind of crust is coming to the neighborhood. The opposite of the staple deep dish, a new pizza place at 1647 W. Cortland St. is breaking tradition with a thin crust pie.

Cuddled next to the Kennedy Expressway and Corland's Garage, Pizza House 1647 opened Tuesday, Chicago Magazine reports

Owner Bobby Paladino has more than 35 years in the food industry, but this time, he's focusing solely on pizza. And not just any pizza, but thin, whole-wheat crust with homemade pizza sauce.

Both the restaurant and pizza will be modest in size. The largest pie will be a foot in diameter and while the eatery will have room for sit-down dining, it'll be largely a take-out business.
