Be Artsy, Sip Cocktails

Arts 'n Spirits is inviting both singles and pairs to paint and drink during a special, $40 Valentine's Day session in which participants will create a sunset serenade painting, which can be done on two canvasses or one panel. Sweets will be served during the evening but for booze, it's BYOB, per usual. The event kicks off at 7 p.m. at the studio, 1921 N. Damen Ave. in Bucktown. Advanced reservations are required and space is limited!

Go Green at Prasino

Crimson may be everywhere on the love-centered holiday, but Prasino boasts green is the new red. In honor of lovers everywhere, the Wicker Park eatery is offering an "eco-chic love shack with cozy tables for two, candlelight, natural floral arrangements and strolling musicians."

A prix fix chef's special menu will be available all weekend long. Among features are love potion cocktails and luxe wine pairings. A complimentary welcome cocktail and glass of Chandon rose' is also on the docket for those with reservations at or before 7 p.m.

The prix fixe menu is $65 between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Add wine or cocktail pairings for an additional $35 fee or the luxe pairing for $55. Make reservations by calling 312-878-1212, via open table or on the restaurant's website.

Empty a Bottle in Honor of Handlebar

This year, celebrate a love affair with one of your favorite local eateries—Handlebar. The North Avenue restaurant will be shuttered for the night, as the party moves on over to The Empty Bottle, 1035 N. Western Ave., where attendees will enjoy live music and a 10-year anniversary bash.

Bands including Pink Frost, The Runnies, Touched by Ghoul and Old Black & Blue Eyes will be performing. Let's not forget artist and musician Melina Ausikaitis, who will be solo.
