Buffalo Grove Schools Get $4.4M In COVID-19 Relief Funding
Illinois public school districts will split about $2.25 billion in federal coronavirus relief, according to state officials.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The two main public school districts in Buffalo Grove, along with the high school district that includes Buffalo Grove High School, are slated to receive more than $4.4 million in grants from the second coronavirus-relief package approved last month by federal lawmakers.
That $900 billion relief package included about $2.25 billion for Illinois public school districts, more than four times the amount they received from the first federal relief package, according to Carmen Ayala, the state’s superintendent of education.
Aptakisic-Tripp School District 102 is slated to net $271,092, while Kildeer Countryside School District 96 will get $289,491. Township High School District 214, which includes Buffalo Grove High School and is headquartered in Arlington Heights, is set to receive $3,867,542, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.
