Buffalo Grove's Anderson Named To All-State Football Team
The Illinois High School Football Coaches Association released its all-state first team and honorable mention selections for all 8 classes.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — A solid fall for Trystan Anderson became even more memorable with Tuesday's announcement he had been selected to the Illinois High School Coaches Association's First Team for Class 7A. The Buffalo Grove senior defensive lineman/offensive lineman (6-foot-5, 230 pounds) has been a two-year captain for the Bison.

Anderson had 138 tackles, 27 tackles for a loss, 18 sacks and one forced fumble for Buffalo Grove (9-2) during the regular season this fall. The Jeffrey Vlk-coached Bison defeated Lincoln-Way West in the first round of the Illinois High School Association playoffs, before bowing out to Prospect on Nov. 6.
Senior teammate Scott Murray (5-foot-10, 185 pounds) was an honorable mention on the All-State 7A team at running back/defensive back.
