Buffalo Grove's Pinta Pride Project Parade Includes Street Closures

The parade will kick off at 11 a.m. on Sunday but police will begin closing local streets earlier in the day and parking will be limited.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — As organizers begin final preparations for Sunday’s Pinta Pride Project Pride Parade, local police officials are alerting local residents to street closures that will begin early Sunday.

The parade will kick off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, but police said that local street closures will begin around 5 a.m. Some of the barricade staging and limited street parking will begin on Saturday. Local residents are encouraged to pay attention to the parade route to avoid experiencing delays, officials said.

Buffalo Grove Police said that they will be re-directing traffic and using foot patrols to ensure the safety of local residents during the day of the parade.

The parade is slated to begin at Carry Lane and will end at Ridgeview Lane. Police are asking local residents to remember that only parade participants will be allowed on the parade route during the event.

The parade is free to attend and will be followed by the Buffalo Grove Park District Pride Picnic, which will take place at Mike Rylko Park.
