Community Survey Helps Gauge Community Sentiment In Buffalo Grove

The survey, which closes on May 21, is conducted every three to four years, according to Village officials.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — As it does every three to four years, the Village of Buffalo Grove has rolled out a community survey intended to gather resident input on services and priorities. According to officials, the Village plans to use this data to evaluate satisfaction, assess priorities and benchmark sentiments over time and against other communities both regionally and nationally.

Officials tell Patch participation "helps shape the future of Buffalo Grove and shares with leadership where investments are needed." The survey closes on May 21, and results will be available in July.

To ensure statistical significance, the survey invitation is mailed to randomly selected households. Surveys were mailed on April 9, and households that receive an invitation are asked to follow the enclosed instructions and complete the survey.

The National Community Survey was developed by National Research Center at Polco. The survey captures opinions on the economy, mobility, community design, utilities, safety, natural environment, inclusivity, engagement, and other elements of Buffalo Grove's overall livability, according to officials. The results will show Buffalo Grove’s strengths, areas of improvement, and what matters most to residents. The Village will also be able to see how its performance compares to other communities across the country.
