Coroner IDs Wheeling Man Killed In Head-On, 3-Vehicle Crash
The collision happened on Route 60 in Round Lake Tuesday morning.
ROUND LAKE, IL — The Lake County Coroner's Office has released the identity of a 47-year-old Wheeling man who was killed in a three-vehicle crash Tuesday in Round Lake.
The man, who has been identified as Wojciech Jaworski, of Wheeling, was driving west on Route 60 near Bacon Road when an eastbound Dodge Durango crossed into the westbound lanes and hit Jaworski's Dodge head-on, according to authorities.
Preliminary results from an autopsy show Jaworski died from blunt force injuries sustained in the crash.

Following the initial collision, which happened at about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, a Volkswagen Jetta rear-ended the Toyota, according to a news release from the Round Lake Police Department. When officers first arrived at the scene, they found occupants of the vehicles trapped inside and Jaworski, who was unresponsive.
All three drivers were taken to an area hospital where Jaworski was pronounced dead.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
