Couple Creates Allergy-Friendly Sweetner

Couple who graduated from Stevenson High School invent a substitute sweetner called Habitall, reports the Mundelein Review.

Michelle Francis of Libertyville was so frustrated by food allergies, she and her husband, Corey Winer, started their own health food company, Habit Foods, featuring a sugar substitute they call Habitall, reported the Mundelein Review.

The couple, graduates of Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, are trying to raise enough money through Indiegogo.com to mass produce the product, made in part from the monk fruit, and sell it in area stores, according to the Review.
