District 214 to Hold School on Veteran's Day

Veteran’s Day will no longer be a day off from school for District 214 students, the Daily Herald reports.

Due to calendar issues, the 2014-2015 school year will be the first time that students will be in the classroom on Nov. 11. The district either had to make a shorter winter break, or end school year on a Monday next school year, the newspaper reports. The district will also adjust curriculum to teach students more about the federal holiday on Veteran’s Day next year.
