“Our new space will create an environment where our team members can build relationships, collaborate with their peers, and develop a deeper understanding of what it means to be ''customer-obsessed” at Zoro,” Kevin Weadick, President of Zoro said in a news release. “Ogilvie’s amenities and location will allow current team members to easily access our consolidated office while helping us attract new talent, especially those looking to grow their technology careers. We are excited about this investment in our team members and in the city of Chicago.

Zoro announced it has leased 42,000 square feet of space in the West Loop and signed an 11-year lease. The Buffalo Grove office and warehouse space, located at 909 Asbury Ln., had about 60,000 square feet of space.

Weadick told Crain's Chicago Business that company officials had to consider whether to make a move with its existing leases expiring in early 2024. The company decided that consolidating offices made the most sense while taking advantage of a West Loop location that it believes may attract a younger base of working professionals.
