Long Grove Student Wins Voting Sticker Contest: Lake County
The seventh-grade Woodlawn Middle School student beat out over 200 submissions in the design contest.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A Woodlawn Middle School student is the grand prize winner of a recent contest from the Lake County Clerk's Office to design "I Voted" stickers. Officials said more than 220 submissions were received from young people across Lake County.
Annika, a seventh-grader at Woodlawn, was the winner of the 6th through 8th grade category and the overall grand prize winner for all ages.
"Annika's exceptional artistry secured the grand prize, earning the honor of having their design transformed into the official Lake County 'I Voted' sticker in 2024," Lake County Clerk Anthony Vega said in a press release.

"I'm so happy. I've entered many drawing contests before, but I've never won," Annika said after learning she won. "I'm super excited and can't wait to see my drawing in a sticker!"
Officials said the winning designs will be showcased and celebrated across Lake County's various platforms to "honor the talent and contribution of these remarkable individuals."

Caleb, a fourth-grade student at Beach Elementary School, impressed the judges with their imaginative and vibrant design in the Kindergarten through 5th grade category. Puja, a senior at Barrington High School, stood out in the 9th through 12th grade category with a design that "captured the essence of civic engagement and creativity," according to officials.
