Meridian Middle School Student Places Second in Lake County Spelling Bee
Ani Nuthalapati was one of 12 students competing in the Lake County spelling bee held March 20.
Congratulations to Meridian Middle School student Ani Nuthalapati who came in second place in the Lake County Final Spelling Bee Competition.
Nuthalapati lost to Barrington 8th grader Pranav Sivakumar, who is the reigning Lake County spelling champion. Ani was one of 12 students competing in the Lake County bee on March 20. Sivakumar will now head to Washington, D.C., to compete in the Annual Scripps National Spelling Bee May 26-June 1.
