New Scoreboard Needed: Buffalo Grove Youth Football Seeks Funds
A GoFundMe has been set up to raise the money after a spring storm permanently damaged a 30-year-old scoreboard.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Since 1972, the Buffalo Grove youth football league has been an important part of the local community. Unfortunately, a new scoreboard is needed for the non-profit after an older one was permanently damaged during a high-wind storm in the spring.
Alex Nunez, a head coach for the Bills, is hoping to raise enough funds to purchase a new scoreboard before the season kicks off on Aug. 29. He started a GoFundMe earlier this week with the goal of raising $6,500.

"The tradition stands on pride, discipline, family and community. We strive to teach these young football players and young cheerleaders the importance of all of these all while having the time of their lives doing so," said Nunez, who also played for the league when he was a kid. "Football, family and community are a huge importance to this town and the families that live in it."
Nunez said sponsors and large donators will receive a banner at all the league's home games for a company of their choice.
