Page Selected To Fill Vacant Buffalo Grove Park District Board Seat
Kim Page, who will fill the remainder of the term through April 2025, was officially sworn in last week.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Kim Page grew up in Buffalo Grove, so she knows the area. She is now raising her family here, along with her husband, Scott, who is also a Buffalo Grove native. In citing her experience and community involvement, the Buffalo Grove Park District Board of Commissioners recently added Page to the board.
Page, who fills a seat that was vacated in May, was sworn in on Nov. 13. She will fill the remainder of the term through April 2025.
"After interviewing numerous impressive candidates for appointment to the Buffalo Grove Park District Board of Commissioners, it became clear that Kim Page's experience, community engagement, and commitment to advancing Buffalo Grove truly distinguished her as our choice," Buffalo Grove Park District Park Board President Scott Jacobson said in a news release. "We are enthusiastic about serving with Kim and firmly believe that her leadership will enhance the Park District's ability to continue to deliver the best parks, recreational facilities, and programs to the residents of Buffalo Grove."

According to the park district, Page, along with five others, were interviewed by the board on Sept. 19. The Board developed an "open and transparent selection process," according to officials. All candidates provided the Board with an application showing their experiences along with statements on their interest in the position.

Page has bachelor's degree in public health from Northern Illinois University and works for Digital Currency Systems in Northbrook. Page's community volunteer experience includes the Anti-Cruelty Society, Omni Youth Services, GiveNKind, Boy Scouts of America, and the Aptakisic-Tripp School District 102 PTO.
"I am honored and excited to have this opportunity to serve our Park District and community. With three children ages 8, 9, and 11, I have been a long-time fan of the Buffalo Grove Park District and their programs, which I have made extensive use of," Page said. "From soccer and flag football, to dance, art classes, the Fitness Center, and birthday parties, my family has a soft spot for the Park District and the programs offered. I am looking forward to serving the community through making our Park District the best possible."
