Police Blotter: Expensive Taxi, Stolen Phone

COMPLAINTS

A resident of the 900 block of Pine Tree Circle reported loud noise coming from the unit above hers between 7 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. April 18.

A complainant reported paying an unusually high amount for a taxi ride at 4 p.m. March 13 to a hotel on the 1500 block of Busch Parkway. The rider was unsure what company was used.

FIRE

Buffalo Grove police officers and the Buffalo Grove Fire Department were dispatched to a house fire at 2:54 p.m. April 17 on the 100 block of Manchester. Upon the police officers’ arrival, a dog was heard barking inside the house. Officers observed a crated dog within the home and forced entry to the front door and removed the unharmed dog. The fire was extinguished by the fire department.

IDENTITY THEFT

A resident reported April 18 several unauthorized charges were made to his credit card and that other accounts were opened using his personal information. 

THEFT

A resident of the 1200 block of Sandhurst reported an item of jewelry went missing from his home between March 27 and April 16.

A complainant reported her cell phone was stolen while she was inside a business on the 200 block of McHenry Road from 8-8:30 p.m. April 16.
