Police Blotter: Loud Music, Alarm Clock Bother Neighbors

ALCOHOL

Tanairi Y. Cruz, 21, of the 1300 block of Inverarry, Palatine, was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use at 3:15 a.m. April 27 on Dundee Road at Golfview Terrace.

Arthur Pasmanik, 32, of the  1200 block of Wellington, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use at 12:48 a.m. April 28 on Dundee Road near Vernon Lane.

ANIMALS

A complainant reported a stray dog running near the railroad tracks at 6:50 a.m. April 27 at Deerfield Parkway and Commerce Court. The dog was located, and the owner was contacted after information was received from a microchip. 

COMPLAINTS

A complainant reported an idling semi-truck parked in the rear of a business at 4:39 a.m. April 26 on the 400 block of West Half Day Road. Officers spoke with the driver who turned off the vehicle. 

A complainant reported having a dispute with another person with whom he shared a taxi ride at 4:21 a.m. April 27 on the 500 block of Silver Rock Lane. The situation was resolved before officers arrived. 

A complainant reported loud music from a nearby property at 8:15 a.m. April 28 on the 300 block of Lexington Drive. Officers arrived and found the music to be at acceptable limits.

A resident of the 600 block of Trace Drive reported at 7 a.m. April 28 that an alarm clock had been going off for several hours. Officers arrived and the alarm clock was turned off.  

DRUGS

Christopher L. Larson, 20, of the 800 block of Old Checker Road, Buffalo Grove, was charged with possession of cannabis and speeding at 11:30 p.m. April 24 at Estate Drive and Bernard Drive.

THEFT

A resident reported an unauthorized purchase on her credit card was made by an unknown person between April 4-26. The purchase was disputed and the retailer canceled the purchase that had not yet been shipped.

A resident reported April 26 that her bank advised someone attempted to use her credit card several times.

VANDALISM

Someone spray-painted a resident’s wood fence between April 27-28 on the 600 block of Bernard Drive.
