Schwab Promoted To Village Engineer in Buffalo Grove
Briget Schwab has been assistant village engineer since January.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Known for her "collaborative project management style and extensive experience working with local, state, and federal funding sources," Bridget Schwab is being promoted to village engineer. Schwab joined Buffalo Grove as assistant village engineer in January.
"I'm honored to step into the role of Village Engineer," Schwab said. "With over two decades of experience in public infrastructure and municipal engineering, I'm excited to contribute to a community that values innovation, sustainability, and strategic growth. I look forward to collaborating with staff, residents, and stakeholders to advance projects that improve quality of life and support the long-term vitality of Buffalo Grove."
Officials said Schwab, a registered professional engineer, brings more than 22 years of civil engineering experience, including a distinguished tenure with the Village of Arlington Heights. Schwab has led a wide range of infrastructure projects throughout her career, including road widening, street reconstruction, storm sewer construction, water main, and civic initiatives such as Harmony Park and the Arlington Heights Civic Event Sign.

"Briget's expertise is exactly what is needed to lead our skilled engineering staff at this important time in the Village’s history," said Mike Skibbe, deputy village manager and public works director. "Extensive capital replacement projects, our Infrastructure Modernization Program, regional transportation improvements, and the most development and redevelopment projects occurring at one time since the Village's major growth in the 1980s. It's an exciting, and busy time, to be part of the Buffalo Grove Engineering Division. And a monumental time for this great Village."
