St. Patrick’s Day Traffic Safety Campaign Underway In Buffalo Grove
The campaign, which runs through next Tuesday, is paid for with federal highway traffic safety funds

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — With St. Patrick's Day almost here, Buffalo Grove police are ramping up traffic enforcement through next Tuesday. For the special campaign, BGPD is partnering up with the Illinois State Police and the Illinois Department of Transportation.
"With St. Patrick’s Day falling on a Monday this year, we expect increased celebrations throughout the weekend prior," Commander Tara Anderson said. "We urge everyone to celebrate responsibly. Plan ahead for a sober ride home before you leave the house; your safety and the safety of others depends on it."
BGPD is reminding residents to make sure your designated driver is sober when the party's over. Walking impaired can also be dangerous, so it's best to designate a sober friend to walk home with you.
