Stevenson Alum Climbs Mount Everest

A Buffalo Grove native and 1986 Stevenson High School graduate has made it to the top of the world, quite literally.

It was always one of 44-year-old Dave Roskelley’s goals to climb to the top of Mount Everest, and in May, he made that a reality, the Daily Herald reports. Roskelley made the six-day climb to the tallest peak in the world with a group of friends and professional guides. Once he made it to the top, he left behind a laminated sign with the Stevenson High School logo to support his alma mater, the newspaper reports.
