For some, the new year means it’s time to start new goals to help improve their quality of life. Whether your 2022 Fitness Goals are to maintain a consistent workout routine, find your place to recreate together, or simply get moving, Leonhard Recreation Center is it!

1. Indoor Walking Track

One of the primary features of the Leonhard Recreation Center is an indoor three-lane walking track (10-11 laps= 1 mile). 

2. Weight Room

This well equipped facility also includes a Cardio/Weight Room featuring numerous ellipticals, treadmills, exercise bikes, weight machines, free weights and more.

3. Champaign Bark District Memberships

4. Volunteer Coach

Are you passionate about sports? Be a volunteer coach and share your love of the game with kids in the community. In our youth sports programs, we believe that winning has less to do with the scoreboard and more to do with core values of Sportsmanship, Opportunity, Fun and Instruction. As a Champaign Park District coach, we expect that you’ll emulate these values and keep fit and have fun along the way.

Our Gymnasium is a great place to get moving with our basketball, pickleball, and volleyball court access.

Youth Scholarship Program Available!

Because some residents are unable to participate in recreation programs due to financial barriers, the Champaign Park District offers scholarships to reduce certain fees and charges. Youth Scholarship Program applicants are not guaranteed fund availability, program registration or choice of program location. Early applications are given priority. Need is the primary criterion upon which scholarship applicants are considered.
