On August 15, 2020, at approximately 10:09 p.m., Champaign Police responded to the parking lot of Star Fox Liquor, located at 1005 West Bloomington Road for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 23-year-old male, identified as Christopher Kelly, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
