City Of Champaign: Emergency Rent Assistance Still Available

The Illinois eviction moratorium expired on October 3, 2021.Β Those financially impacted by COVID-19 may qualify for assistance through the Champaign County Regional Planning Commissionβs Emergency Rent Assistance program. The program will pay for past due housing costs, such as rent and bills (power, water, sewer). The amount of assistance will be based on each applicantβs individual situation and will not exceed $20,000. Anyone behind on rent due to the pandemic are encouraged to apply by 4:00 pm on Friday, February 4, 2022.Β Apply or learn more about the ERA Program here.
