Police Listening Sessions Underway

Three Virtual Community Listening Sessions will gather input on their vision for the future of public safety in Champaign.

Over the last two weeks the City of Champaign has hosted three Virtual Community Listening Sessions to gather input from the public on our residents’ vision for the future of public safety in Champaign. The Listening Sessions have been held via Zoom, with members of the public invited to provide their suggestions, comments, and concerns to City Administrators and elected officials. All Listening Sessions are also telecast live on CGTV and live streamed on the City’s website. Two more Listening Sessions are scheduled for October 9 (1 pm) and October 13 (6 pm) and we invite our residents to participate and share their suggestions with the City.

Those who are unable to participate in a Listening Session but wish to share their vision for the future of public safety in our community are encouraged to take the survey on the City’s website.
