'The Stupidity:' Woman Caught Driving 115 MPH In Illinois Snow
A warning from Illinois State Police after woman was caught going 80 mph over the speed limit in snowy weather.

CHAMPAIGN, IL β Illinois State Police are warning residents about dangerous drivers out on the slick roads after a woman was clocked driving 115 mph in a 35 mph zone (80 mph over the speed limit) on area roads this week. Police said the woman was caught speeding near Market Street and Wilbur Avenue in Champaign Sunday night, while snow and slush were on the roadways. According to police, the woman was cited for "speeding more than 35 mph over the speed limit," and arrested for speeding before being put in jail.
However, the dangerous winter weather conditions clearly didn't phase her, as police posted the following to the Illinois State Police Facebook page:
"If you think we donβt patrol in town, youβre mistaken. And if you think you wonβt get in a bad crash in town because the speed limits are low and youβre a good driver, think again. Just remember there are people like this driving next to you," police warned.
