Updated: Another Joliet Man Gunned Down on Englewood Avenue
The 23-year-old was the fourth person shot — and the second killed — within a month in almost the same spot.

A fourth person in less than a month was shot down in nearly the same spot on Englewood Avenue.
David M. Kelly, 22, was pronounced dead on Englewood near Cardinal Lane shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday. He was the second of four shot in that area to die in the last three and a half weeks.
First, early on the morning of Aug. 19 a 21-year-old was shot in the leg but survived to make his own way from the Hill to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. The young man gave police no description of his attacker.

Within a week, police identified the alleged shooter and took him into custody. Ex-convict Lonnie Pinnick, 24, was charged with the slaying and remains in custody at the Will County jail.
Officers were sent to the death scene shortly after 4:30 a.m. They found Kelly dead inside a car.
Detectives have no witnesses or suspect information, a source said.
