CHANNAHON, IL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

What does the nominee do for work? She is an ICU nurse at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
"She did not hesitate at all to go to her hospital and take care of COVID patients and would come home after her shift and do all the right things to protect me and our son, so we would not get sick.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
"My wife works at Silver Cross Hospital in the ICU, she is a full time student online at DePaul University to be a NP. She is on the deans list she works and studies and takes great care of her family and makes masks for our elderly family and friends on her sewing machine in her very little spare time she is amazing she has always been my hero she even held my mother's hand as she passed away from cancer."
