Jilted Joliet Teen Stabs Man's Thigh After Vandalizing Cars: Cops
The young woman and her partner-in-crime had handkerchiefs covering their faces, police said.

A jilted Joliet teen stabbed a man in the thigh when he tried to stop her from vandalizing cars, police said.
Alyssa Salazar, 18, was apprehended and detained by a woman who sat on top of her, police said, but her alleged accomplice escaped.
About 9 p.m. Sunday, a 39-year-old man, his 38-year-old girlfriend and an 18-year-old young woman were in a Cactus Court house when they heard loud banging outside. The took a look and saw two women with handkerchiefs covering their faces. The women were in the driveway and beating on three parked cars with unspecified blunt objects.

The man rushed out and one of the masked women — later identified as Salazar — lunged at him with a knife, police said. The man reportedly grabbed Salazar by the hair and took her to the ground, but on her way down she allegedly stabbed him in the thigh.
The girlfriend sat on Salazar to keep her from getting away and the teen was disarmed, police said. The woman was reportedly still sitting on Salazar when the law arrived.

In all the commotion, Salazar’s partner in crime made her getaway in a silver car, police said.
Salazar’s rampage was sparked by her ex-boyfriend taking up with someone associated with the group living on Cactus Court, police said.
