Job Seekers Should 'Be Ready to Interview' Thursday at Will County Fair

Area job seekers are invited to a weekly job fair in Joliet on June 15 where representatives of companies will be ready to hire.

WILL COUNTY, IL - Area job seekers are invited Thursday to a weekly fair in Joliet where representatives of companies needing dockworkers, packing associates, shuttle drivers, and more, will be looking to hire.

The June 15 event represents collaboration between Will County's Workforce Services Division and Illinois' Department of Employment Security.

Among available positions this week are distribution center associates, dockworkers, forklift operators, galvanizing associates, general laborers/lumpers, inventory control clerks, machine operators and maintenance technicians, according to a county-wide news release.

WSD administrative manager Susan Flessner said the fairs allow job seekers to meet with several employers simultaneously.

“Additionally, (they) only have to make one trip per week to the Workforce Center to talk with multiple businesses about multiple jobs,” she said.

The weekly events are held at the Workforce Center of Will County, 2400 Glenwood Ave., Suite 100. The day and times vary, but those wanting to attend this week can do so from 9 to 11 a.m.

Will County Executive Larry Walsh, whose office oversees WSD, encourages job seekers to seize the day.

“Bring your resume, dress for success and be ready for an interview,” he said.
