Joliet Woman Kept Calling 911 After Locking Keys in Car: Cops
The woman called the emergency dispatch center seven times in less than three hours, police said.

A Joliet woman wanted emergency dispatchers to send the cops to get her keys out of her locked car — and she wasn’t going to take no for an answer, police said.
Patsy Boykin, 77, called 911 no less than seven times within three hours Saturday evening, police said. She was allegedly “demanding” that officers come to her North Broadway home and get her keys out of her locked, green Dodge Neon.
Dispatchers told Boykin she should call a locksmith, police said, and after her sixth call, an officer went to her home and suggested she try a motorist assist company. The officer also reportedly informed her that if she called 911 again, she would be arrested.

But Boykin did call again, police said, and the officer returned, this time with his sergeant.
The sergeant reportedly asked Boykin if the officer told her she would be arrested if she called again and she said yes, he had. The sergeant then asked her why she called again, police said, and Boykin informed him, “Because my keys are locked in the car.”

Boykin was arrested on a charge of making a false police report. She was released on her own recognizance.
