Minooka School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Minooka is August 16 for grades K-8 and August 17 for EC/DK/Pre-K. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Minooka Community Consolidated School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

October

• 10/6: Early Release (School Improvement)
• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/17: End of First Quarter
• 10/27: Early Release (School Improvement)
• 10/30: No School for Students (Teacher Institute Day)

November

• 11/10: Early Release (School Improvement)
• 11/17: Kindergarten End of First Trimester
• 11/20 - 11/21: No School for Students (Parent Teacher Conferences)
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Vacation)

December

• 12/22: Early Dismissal, End of Second Quarter
• 12/25 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)

January
