Originally from Minooka, the obituary said:
Corey deeply loved sports, whether playing football with friends, cheering on his favorite teams (the Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, and Chicago White Sox), or watching UFC fights. He never missed a chance to go to a live sporting event, and he certainly never turned down an opportunity to go fishing, especially with his brother. He also enjoyed playing disc golf, poker, and video games. But above all, Corey cherished his time with his daughter, Lillian. She was the light of his life, whether they were off on fun adventures or simply enjoying each other’s company.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to his GoFundMe are greatly appreciated.
A celebration of life for Gibbons is set for March 1 at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6, at Deerpath Drive in Morris.
