IL Celeb Nick Offerman's New Parody Song: 'I'm Proud To Be A Kamala Man'
According to Rolling Stone, Offerman sings from the perspective of a Republican who "found a way to see clear, to decency."

MINOOKA — Nick Offerman, the famous Hollywood "Parks and Rec" televison star and son of Minooka village president Ric Offerman, is back in the national news again this week after releasing a hilarious parody song trashing former President Donald Trump and JD Vance while proclaiming his unwavering support for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
"My name is Nick Offerman, and I am very enthusiastic to be supporting the presidential campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz," Offerman proclaims at the start of his YouTube video. "For obvious reasons, there are a lot of Republicans who are suddenly very Kamala curious. There are all these organizations of Republicans for Kamala, and it's very exciting.
"Without further ado, let me offer you a song that is from the point of view of one of these Republicans, one of these good citizens, who formerly was a little bit blinded by misinformation who has now found their way to see clear to decency."

Offerman posted his new song on YouTube and said he played it at the Comics for Kamala fund-raiser. "Folks, I got so much positive feedback when I played this song on the @ComicsForKamala fundraiser that I went ahead and made you a professional-style version. Coming soon to a music streamer near you, through your rectangle," Offerman announced this week on Twitter.
Rolling Stone produced a story promoting Offerman's new song, announcing in Tuesday's story how "Nick Offerman is pledging his support for Vice President Kamala Harris as the next president and doing so in the way he does best: via a comedic anti-Trump-aimed song. On Tuesday, the comedian released 'Proud to Be a Kamala Man,' a silly track sung from the perspective of a former Republic to the tune of 'God Bless the USA.'"

A proud product of Minooka, Offerman still returns to his hometown from time to time.
In 2020, Patch reported that the world-famous celebrity from Minooka was urging school officials from his hometown to get rid of the Minooka Indians mascot because "Native Americans depicted as sports mascots is clearly racist," he wrote.
Offerman was one of 6,612 people who have signed the online petition at Change.org called Change Minooka Community High School's Mascot.
After signing the petition, "This is a no-brainer," Offerman wrote. "Native Americans depicted as sports mascots is clearly racist, as evidenced by the much larger, substantial arguments against mascots like that of The Cleveland Indians and The Washington Redskins."
To this day, Minooka School District continues to calla itself the Indians.
