Claudia was an active member of First Assembly of God Church in Joliet where she directed and acted in musicals and plays. She taught early education at KC for 25 years and was also an Adjunct Faculty member in Communications at Joliet Junior College for 17 years, retiring in 2017. After retirement Claudia remained active in music ministry at area churches. She volunteered at RKFC for Southwest Community Church as well as Joliet Community Hospice (Lightways) for five years.

Most important to Claudia was her love and devotion to the Lord. She would often tell others of the Lord’s faithfulness to her.

A Memorial Service for Claudia will be held Sunday, January 29, 2023, 12:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. Her visitation will follow the services Sunday afternoon from 1 – 4 p.m.

As it was Claudia’s wish, cremation rites have been accorded and her final earthly remains will be interred at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name can be made to Be the Match or Lightways Hospice. Another way to honor Claudia is to consider giving blood.
