Nouryon Odor Notification: Village of Channahon Announcement

The Village of Channahon is aware of the odor that has been in the area from Nouryon. The odor, related to their waste treatment process, has been in our area for many years but has been more noticeable of late. Per discussions with Nouryon Management, they have been working on lessening the smell through the cleaning of their waste treatment pond, which occurs every ten or so years. During this process, the odor may at times be stronger than normal. We will continue to communicate with Nouryon on the progress being made to lessen the odor.
