2 Men With Chicago Heights Ties In Running For Top WIU Position

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — Two men with Chicago Heights connections are in the running for a top position at Western Illinois University, school officials told Patch.

Gregory Kain — an executive director of information technology at Prairie State — and James Connors — director of information technology and business intelligence at Howard Brown Health — are competing for the executive director of University Technology position at WIU.

Students and staff are invited to meet Kain and Connors at informational sessions on June 6 and 8.

Kain has worked at Chicago Heights-based Prairie State College since 2015. He also worked at Governor's State University, his alma mater, from 2000 - 2012. Connors has worked at Howard Brown Health in Chicago since 2017. Before that, he worked in Wood Dale, Libertyville and at St. James Hospital and Health Centers in Chicago Heights.
